AI brings about a revolution in medicine (video)

Artificial intelligence is increasingly making its way into the medical world. In this video, specialists from UZ Brussel and the Faculty of Medicine and Pharmacy at the VUB show how they apply the technology. An AI analysis of a retinal scan, for example, can predict how likely a patient is to go blind, AI helps in the fight against pancreatic cancer by making surgical procedures more efficient, and the technology can provide a better understanding of how our brains function, allowing patients with MS to be treated more effectively.
