Science hears

Welcome to VUB Tomorrow

Across the country, thousands of people live with conditions that show no visible signs. The fact that the outside world quite literally doesn’t see them can take a heavy psychological toll. It also means diagnoses and treatment often come far too late. That’s why we at VUB and UZ Brussel warmly welcome this year’s focus of De Warmste Week: raising awareness of invisible illnesses. This edition of VUB Tomorrow ties in seamlessly. In our magazine — where science meets the future — we highlight research and real-life stories that make the invisible tangible, and help make a real difference.
